WHAT IT IS
TELMIMED 40 (Telmisartan) is a non-peptide antihypertensive medication of the ARB (Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker) type, primarily used to manage arterial hypertension (high blood pressure).

Telmisartan is prescribed to treat essential hypertension, which means the high blood pressure is not caused by another underlying condition. It is also used to lower the risk of cardiovascular events in adults who have restricted or blocked blood flow to the heart or legs, have had a stroke, or are at high risk for diabetes.

HOW TO USE
The standard dose of Telmisartan is one 40mg tablet per day, ideally taken at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food.

If Telmisartan seems too strong or too weak, the dose can be adjusted based on your blood pressure readings.

For most users with high blood pressure, the recommended dose is 40mg once daily to maintain 24-hour blood pressure control. In some cases, a lower 20mg dose or a higher 80mg dose may be appropriate.

Telmisartan can also be combined with diuretics like hydrochlorothiazide, as they enhance its blood pressure-lowering effects.

To reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, the typical dose is 80mg daily, with frequent blood pressure monitoring during the start of treatment.

If you have liver issues or are using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) that affect the liver, the daily dose should not exceed 40mg.
